Milarepa was a great mendicant monk and a poet. He lived in the early 12th Century wandering through Tibet performing miracles and converting the nomadic people to Buddhism. He is shown sitting on a gazelle skin in monastic robes with his right hand behind his right ear, as if he was hearing the echoes of Nature.
